Salt Point State Beach on the Sonoma coast is one of my favorite locales. Besides its amazingly varied coastal views, this part is well known for its mushrooms when the winter rains start. Bordering the park is the Kruse Rhododendron Preserve. We almost always stop here when travelling up or down the coast.
There are some coastal scenes that are more powerful when photographed in black and white. This was my first use of Kodak T-MAX 400. I had hoped to capture the power and size of the waves crashing onto the blufs.
My anthropromorphic series began here.
